MADISON — Two more former aides to Gov. Scott Walker have been charged with crimes linked to political fundraising while working on county time in the ongoing John Doe investigation.
Both worked for Walker while he was serving as Milwaukee County Executive, and both are accused of fundraising activities while at their taxpayer-funded day jobs...
"In the course of the investigation it was learned that a private email network was established and operated out of the County Executive’s office and that private network was used to communicate both political campaign and government work related information to select individuals," prosecutors wrote in the release announcing charges.

John Nichols, who writes for The Capital Times and The Nation, has known Scott Walker for over 20 years. He says Walker is a very hands on administrator, and it's inconceivable that he would not have known what was going on right under his nose.
Another nail in the Walker recall coffin!

You guys in Wisconsin are terrific! You show everybody else in this country how to live -- not how to solve the problem, but how to keep on living. It's not a project, then we go back to our old ways. We keep on working at it. And keep on uncovering more. A thousand cheers for Wisconsin!

Very interesting to see Reince Priebus mentioned also. Oh what a tangled web they weave.

Walker tying his own noose around his neck. Priceless !!! LOL
I wonder why he just doesn't resign and save himself and WI all the cost and ill will that is a result of the lunatic he is.
Bubba is waiting Walker, he has your picture on the wall and is smiling in anticipation !!! Hahaahhahaaaaa !!!
Keep on keeping on WI !!! Put it to them !!!!!

I doubt he'll resign. Too much BIG MONEY invested in him, especially from out of state. He is owned lock, stock and barrel by corporate elites.

Those who are in it for the power struggle don't quit when the struggle is at its most intense moment. This is his shining moment -- why would he quit?

I guess I'm still altruistic even after the many years of disappointment.
I still believe in asking not what I can get from my country, but how I can benefit my country. I'm still a Kennedy Democrat. One who stands for America, not just the wealth of America, but for the ideals of America !!!
I love this country to much to let it fall into the hands of tyrants and despots like Walker and his ilk.
God Bless America and remove the evil from the leadership of of the congress.

Yeah, I am concerned about the impact all that money will have. In a recent poll I saw, Walker was leading against likely Democratic Candidates. With the 30 day extension of certifying the recall petition count, he just go another month to collect money that will be used blanket the State of Wisconsin with attacks on his opponentand to muddy the waters enough so he can hold on to his position. Walkers dismissal is far from assured, it seems, this is the last leg of the marathon coming up and it will require a huge effort to push through.
Go Wisconsin, Stay Strong.
- 33 votes
And the crap just keeps coming, closer and closer, Walker, are you getting afraid yet? Priebus, too? Nice, bring the taint of scandal to the national level. On, Wisconsin.
- 35 votes
This story has legs as well as a whole lot of depth.
Earlier this month, two Walker appointees, Tim Russell and Kevin Kavanaugh, were arrested and charged with embezzling from veterans groups. A third man, Russell’s partner, was charged with child enticement.
Even child enticement.
These are the people who wave the "morals" flag.
- 29 votes
I'm with you on that. I've changed much over the years, vote differently on some issues now, but underneath it all, I've never wavered from being a RFK Democrat. We're called Progressives today.
They're chipping away at his support system to where all he's got is the Koch Bros. The minute they cut him loose, I expect him to panic and whatever reporters are holding on him will come forward. I know -- it's speculation -- but he triggered my sleazy button the first time I saw him, and I haven't given up on that notion.
- 27 votes
Walker's been spending some serious time in Texas lately garnering as much cash as he possibly can (it's in the millions) so he can blitzkrieg the media (or perhaps post bail). Geez, I can't wait. This is going to be a wild political year in Wisconsin. I will be disappointed, but not surprised if he survives this recall effort. He has some things going for him that matter in politics, friends with fat wallets and a thick skin.

Hey American!
With that much money coming in this late, you have to wonder if they are pounding sand down a rathole named Walker or are trying to stem the bleeding before it gets to his wealthy donors...
- 27 votes
steph, they think they can buy the election. They bought the last one. I think people have wised up.
- 24 votes
When something has worked for a long time for you, you just hate to give it up!
There is more dirt there, for sure. These millions will not be enough to staunch the bleeding though.
- 21 votes
steph, he's already been bombarding the media with ads. I really don't understand why people would allow themselves to get suckered again, but we've certainly seen that happen before.
- 15 votes
His ads are nothing to brag about either. An early one had a teacher praising his budget repair moves and union busting. Turns out she was a charter school teacher not affected by the financial losses experienced by regular public school teachers and at a charter school ,that would likely benefit from the expanded voucher system. Then there was the one with the "successful local businessman" praising how the business climate had improved. Turns out his consulting business specialized in helping manufacturers outsource business to China.

AI, thanks for keeping us informed. I for one am so proud of WI (i live in MI) for showing the way. I tried to do my part by signing the Snyder recall petition. By the time I finally found a place to sign, and with enthusiasm to do so...I wound up in a doctors office getting major injections for a brown recluse spider bite.
I would have skipped the doctors appointment as I did not know that a spider bite was what I had, but my worried son set it up and I had no time to back out.
Still bummed but I doubt my one little signature would have changed it this time.
- 12 votes
Yeppers...just like an overturned outhouse. The crap just keeps seeping out.
Walker may find himself a cell mate with Blago, the Ill governor who is serving time for his own crimes, along with 3-4 other prior Ill corrupt governors who are still serving prison terms. I will be happy to see him get his just deserts. It will not only prove to Walker that he is not above the law, but, that all the Koch Brothers and Big corporate and oil money can't buy his freedom. He let himself be a whore to the money machine, and now he will wind up being the one in jail.
It is impossible that Walker didn't know what was going on. It is just ridiculous to think that all this kind of crap on his behalf and/or his behest would not be known to him.

The e-mail they sent me was for Obama/Biden 2012. They stated they wanted to build their friends list first then do humorous Pro-Democratic comments.
They e-mailed me again that they can't access their account. Bummer....I was looking forward to the Cows perspective.

Doing Jail time is a great lesson, it might wake them up. Just might. Stuff the fine. Put them in jail.
Why? They get labelled Jailbird. Its muddy and it sticks. A fine is not biggy for these fools.
- 9 votes
Walker should have left gracefully when the people wanted him to go, but him fighting it just might end him up behind bars for fraud abuse within his office.
The man could have easily left with big bucks in his pockets, but greed and power always sink all those that think they are above and beyond the laws that are enforced upon the rest of us.
Walker, you are on living/walking on borrowed time. The day is coming when you will be rooming at your local jail.
- 12 votes
They believe their money makes them all powerful. People power over Koch money. So many states fell for the lies in 2010. We need to stay informed and fight for our children and future. I just pray people are paying attention. Ed is doing a wonderful job at covering your states issues. Watching it now.

...And the "perp walks" continue...just as I knew they would when the first two started their journey through the Judicial system...
Walker's MO is just like that of most lower echelon crime figures...folks dumb enough to perpetrate crimes are seldom smart enough to sustain it while hiding it from the Authorities for very long...
...And just like every criminal enterprise; eventually the capo gets ratted out by one or two of the vermin who realize that they really aren't ready for "Hard Time"...
- 8 votes
Hey, GA GUY. I'm trying to remember just how many and who of Walker's past and current staffers are under immunity. The seeded story talks two, I think. I believe there are more. They may feel more inclined to spill the beans if they perceive Walker as vulnerable.

This may add another reason why scott walker needs to step down as Governor because the moral stink will soon reach Madison and ineveitably taint Walker's whole admisntration. And Walker-if he did this at the County level is unlikely tochange his stripes at the state level.

Arlin, we are reeking from the stench of the entire Walker admin. You wouldn't believe what's going on here. One sleazy bill after another, all for their cronies, destroying the environment, public education, health care and hurting kids, seniors, the poor, the disabled.
It's a mess.

I pray you get those guys all kicked out. It gives me and others so much hope that we need right now.

I think the only question is will Walker be indicted before or after the recall election!
Because he IS going to be indicted...no question in my mind! There's no way in hell he doesn't know all these crimes are going on right under his nose!

The FBI might be coming for his a$$......but the Wi State Patrol is headed by the Fitzgerald brothers old man.....so he's pretty comfy with the Gov.....
- 13 votes
Yeah, well I'm pretty sure when he's told he gets to make "one phone call" - he'll be calling the Koch brothers to bail his crooked azz out!

It would so great if the FBI had the line tapped and they get them ( kochs) for conspiracy to obstruct justice and or conspiracy for tampering with evidence.
- 5 votes
johny, that would be good. But it's legal to have a conspiracy to screw with the people of Wisconsin. It's not just the Kochs, though they may be the richest and most high profile. There are these enormously wealthy right-wing extremists who are funding all kinds of organizations and campaigns. They want to rule the world.
And the thing is, HOW MUCH MORE DO THEY WANT?

Deceit, manipulation, corruption, fraud....

Well...as we can see by the people who support the GOPTeaBag Presidential candidates that not all the people in the country want decent elected officials.
- 4 votes
Tink, I think a lot of them just bought a bill of goods, you know? There are low information voters, for whatever reason. That happens on both sides. The repubs are particularly adept at branding some truly repugnant stuff with a smiley happy face. I can see where if you're not sort of a political junkie that would be confusing.
On the other hand, it's really incumbent on people to be good citizens...at least try to be informed. What irks me the most is how people get swayed by commercials on TV. WTF is that about?
- 5 votes
I do agree, AI. I was speaking mostly of the kind of low-level people that show up at the debates and rallies and just spew at lot of hate, and cheer and applaud the most immoral, inhumane and disgusting things the candidates say. Those are the people I am speaking about.
I know that there are far more truly decent people who love America and its people as much as I and the majority of the rest of true Americans do, on both sides, and that there are many Republicans who are ashamed of what their party has become and what they are trying to do and have done to America and its people. I have several friends who have been life-long Republicans and they have left the party because of the fanatical religious and political extremism and more decay they see consuming the Republican party now that the Tea Party has assimilated it and turned it into the Borg, where no one is allowed to think or act for themselves.
I am truly hoping that the decent people in America will use their heads in voting this time and not their anger. Going back and becoming a serfdom is not the answer.
- 5 votes
I can't watch those debates. It's the audience. You expect ridiculous sh/t out of candidates, but to see the kinds of reactions they get is really horrifying.

I heard today that this was part of a probable "Pay-To-Play" scheme, like the one Rod Blagojevich ran in Illinois.
The problem for Walker is Rod Blagojevich is going to jail, and that means there is precedent on this one in the courts.

Reading and comprehension are apparently NOT strengths of Republicans.

I am just thinking American Idle is corrupton a normal global pattern? Those corrupts revealed because of the assertive people of Wisconsin, how many corrupt would be revealed if people in every State bound together against corruption?
- 10 votes
Good point, Fada. It really does take the people to rise up against injustice. Average people surely don't have the means to know all the dirty deals, but they do have the power to insist on clean government. I pray we continue to do that here.
- 10 votes
Exactly American Idle , people have changed, they don't give up just because they don't have the means , insistence and binding together are their power and means
- 9 votes
Fada, I doubt anyone knows that better than people like you in Egypt. It's amazing what you've accomplished there. We have it easy in comparison.
- 5 votes
There's no easy way American Idle to get your rights, you are doing great in Wisconsin. I see the way harder in the West because power of Capitalism is buttressed with manipulative laws and political ties with the powerful 1%.
We in the west may have to pay lives but we understand that the long course needs us not to stop protests and strikes to get rid of transit military ruling and we will again and again if brotherhood didn't fulfil what they promised to do of economical and social reformation
- 7 votes
Fada, how brave you are. I can see how battles such as yours can be unifying. Also terrifying. Maybe because people are so much at risk, and so visibly, it's easier to know who/what the enemy is.
Here, it's all subterfuge. There is always a hidden agenda. And powerful and wealthy people hidden behind the agenda.
It always amazes me how out people fall for the same old tricks. I've been more or less politically aware for 40 years, and you see the pattern repeat again and again.
- 5 votes
I am optimist American Idle whatever the hidden agendas and manipulation of the political and economical elites
The people have changed remarkably allover the last few years , may be because of the fast growth of global population and collapse of economicy wideworld. They are not the same nice complacent people who were buying governmental lies and subterfuges , I even appal violence might rise against governments in the future
I made a mistake in msg #19.4, I should've written 'we in Egypt'

Fada, very sad. Reporting on CNN now, 98 killed in Syria. Report is that something like 40 percent of the people are out demonstrating. Bodies are turning up, tortured. People are holding up signs asking for the world to help.
We've a had a year of uprisings all over the world. People are paying for freedom with their lives. It seems that is the history of humankind. We are not as evolved as we think.

Syrian news breaks my heart American Idle more than the news of any Arab protests. Syrian people are in serious plight , the sadist Assad is committing true genocide on daily scale and for a year and no one do anything about it. He didn't learn from other uprises that no go back after spilling the first drop of blood, he is like Gaddafi insisting to waste more lives before he go

Walker is as corrupt as they come and all the scandals surrounding his administration should prove beyond doubt that Walker should be recalled, this all goes far beyond Walker's over reach with his job cutting union busting plans that have hurt the state and cost far more than the state benefited.
Walker has the worst job creation record in the country so he was never catapulted into office on the backs of wealthy Corporate donors to really do anything about jobs. The out of state donors and high rollers only wanted him and other GOP governors to suppress jobs so they could blame Obama.
